The weather here in sunny Queensland is absolutely perfect, our mornings chilly but the days are crisp and fresh, perfect weather for a picnic, whether it’s on the beach or the mountains all rugged up with cosy blankets with delicious lunch and wine. Our regular picnics inspired us to find a new picnic basket, it didn’t take long to find the perfect basket, we were instantly transported by the words and imagery of Le Weekend and the craftsmanship of a locally made product that will truly stand the test of time. It was after a weekend driving through the country, restrictions easing, the cooler weather, the perfect opportunity to visit the country after isolating for so long. There is nothing quite like breathing in cool fresh air while taking in the most spectacular views and discovering hidden treasures. I’m always amazed at how much there is to enjoy so close to home.

There is something magical about the idea of living a more simpler life, something we have all been forced to do, yet embraced so well, we were able to slow down, work from our homes, spend quality time with our family, be more present in our lives and get back to basics. So when I discovered Chip & Joanna Gaines garden shed on their property in Texas, I had instant envy and couldn’t wait to pin it on my vision board and share it with you. Can you imagine a dedicated space for cutting flowers from your own garden, potting herbs, enjoying organic veggies from your garden, and having a creative space for the simple joys in life, yes please! You can create your own potting station just about anywhere you can find a wall, maybe in your garage or an old neglected garden shed that can be brought back to life. We are creating an area in our client’s laundry as a flower cutting station, it’s just a matter of using your imagination.
